After getting 29 improvement projects approved, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is seeking approval from the Bridger-Teton National Forest to upgrade its water and wastewater systems, expand snowmaking in two areas, and build a new ski patrol station atop the Aerial Tram. The proposed improvements aim to modernize infrastructure at high-use facilities, including Corbet’s Cabin, Bear Flats Cafe, and Thunder Cafe, by connecting them to the Teton Village Water and Sewer District.
The project, set to begin in 2025 and finish by 2030, would disturb approximately 16 acres, including the removal of 15 Douglas fir trees and some whitebark pine seedlings. To mitigate environmental impacts, the resort will continue its whitebark preservation program and follow seasonal restrictions to protect wildlife and wetlands. The Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality will oversee water and wastewater permitting.
The resort also plans to add snowmaking along the Teewinot switchback under the Apres Vous lift and along Rendezvous Trail above the Sublette lift. The Bridger-Teton plans to review the proposal under a categorical exclusion, with a public comment period open until April 1. Comments can be submitted at TinyURL.com/jhmrce25.
